Pet Health Checks
We recommend that all pets receive a Health Check once every 6-12 months. This may vary depending on the presence of ongoing health conditions.
A standard Health Check includes a weight recording, temperature reading and a full examination of the mouth, ears and eyes. It also includes auscultation of the heart and lungs and palpation of the abdomen.
Health Checks for Pet’s Health
Health Checks form a vital part of monitoring your pet’s health, particularly as they age. Some conditions can occur slowly and silently and it is only upon a Health Check that some problems are discovered.
It is far easier to treat and manage illnesses in their early stages, and to prevent them, than contend with them in an advanced stage.
A Health Check also occurs before every annual or triennial vaccination.
