We regularly conduct on-site visits to farms, farmlets, and backyards, providing comprehensive examinations for a diverse range of species such as cattle, sheep, alpacas, goats, and occasional pigs. Our services encompass clinical assessments, sample collection for laboratory testing, and immediate treatment whenever possible. Many diagnostic tests can be performed at our clinic, ensuring a swift and efficient response to your animal’s needs.

WAVS places a special emphasis on cattle-related services and takes pride in being recognized as one of South Australia’s leading cattle practices. Our primary service area includes the Fleurieu Peninsula, and we also extend our visits to farms in locations ranging from Meningie and the Lower Lakes to as far east as Tintinara.

While we excel in addressing emergency calls related to sick animals, obstetrics, and calvings, our large animal service is not limited to these situations. We offer specialized guidance on herd health management, assistance with disease outbreaks, and expert advice on biosecurity and welfare concerns. Please note that, as a policy, we do not routinely attend to horses. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality veterinary care tailored to the unique needs of large animals in the regions we serve.
