Dr. Michelle Rees
Practice Owner, BSc BVSc
Michelle chose to work in this industry because she grew up in a family that always worked with animals and nature, and loves the challenge of a puzzle .
Her special interest include emergency medicine and reproduction.
Outside of work Michelle enjoys time with her family, friends, the beach and going walking.

Johan
Business Manager
Johan is passionate about helping veterinary teams thrive through great leadership, practical systems, and a clear sense of purpose. With many years of experience leading diverse teams in IT, telecommunications, healthcare, and banking, he brings valuable business insight to Willunga & Aldinga Veterinary Services.
Outside of work, Johan enjoys time with his family, exploring the Fleurieu Peninsula, and working on creative tech and outdoor projects.
Simone
Business Administration Manager
Simone has always known from a young age that she wanted to work with animals.
Simones special interests are performing administration tasks and creating spreadsheets.
Outside of work Simone likes being home with her family and friends, playing video games and also really enjoys living a frugal life and playing with budgets and creating spreadsheets.
Koby
Lead Veterinary Nurse, Cert IV
Koby has always had a passion for animals, from trying to save wild birds and bunnies to convincing her parents to let me have all of pets from a young age. Koby always knew she wanted to work with animals and couldn’t see herself doing anything else.
Koby’s has special interests in canine rehabilitation and team building.
Koby enjoys horse riding, spending time with friends and family and working on our little hobby farm/vineyard.
Caitlin
Lead Veterinary Nurse, Cert IV
Caitlin chose veterinary nursing due to a lifelong interest in animals and a clear desire from a young age to work with them as an adult.
Her special interests include emergency and hospital nursing, where she thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys utilising her nursing skills and knowledge to their fullest. She also has a strong interest in leadership and mentoring within the nursing team.
Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and going to the gym.

Dr. Emma Hoolihan
Lead Veterinarian, BSc DVM, MANZCVS (surgery)
Formerly a broadcast journalist, Emma received her veterinary degree from The University of Adelaide in 2018. Following graduation, Emma completed an internship at a specialty surgery referral center in Melbourne, before moving into general practice.
Emma has a special interest and training in advanced surgical procedures, including orthopaedics, reconstructive oncology and brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome.
She lives on a farm in the beautiful Inman Valley with her husband, daughter and their expanding menagerie. In her spare time, Emma enjoys horse riding, running and gardening.
Dr. Clare Ellis
Veterinarian, BVSc (Hons), CCRT CVA (IVAS)
Clare grew up always wanting to be a vet. She enjoys working in this industry because she is able to make a difference to the quality of her patients lives and enjoys working with owners to provide the best outcomes in patient care.
Clare has a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries and disease and has additional qualifications in acupuncture and rehabilitation (physical) therapy.
Outside of work Clare enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, cheering on kids sports, camping and being a volunteer surf lifesaver.
Dr. Daniel Richmond
Veterinarian, DVM
Dan graduated from Murdoch University in Perth in 1995. He worked in the UK for 3 years in a small animal practice then to Perth and the southwest of WA before buying Aldinga Vet Clinic in 2007. In 2013 Dan sold the Practice which created WAVS.
Dan has a keen interested in imaging – ultrasounds and radiographs, difficult medical cases and soft tissue surgery
Dr. Brooke Lamey
Veterinarian, BSc BVSc
Brooke chose this industry to improve animal welfare and wellbeing and enjoys improving the human animal bond.
Brooke enjoys internal medicine, small animal surgery and a special interest in eye health.
Outside of work Brooke likes gardening reading, catching up with friends and exploring our beaches and parks.
Dr. Jane Ellery
Veterinarian, BSc BVMS (Hons)
Jane Ellery graduated with honors from Murdoch University in 2001 and has been practicing small animal medicine predominantly in Adelaide since this time.
Jane has a special interest in treating rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and mice. She currently has 3 cats and a whippet and a house full of animal hair.
Jane lives locally and enjoys the beach, snorkeling and eating good food.
Dr. Reginald Goh
Veterinarian, BSc DVM
Reg started at the Willunga Clinic at the beginning of 2022 after graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2021.
Reg has a special interest in all animals large and small with a growing passion for Australia’s diverse native wildlife. Reg has a keen interesting in imaging and surgery.
Reg enjoys spending time outside of work with his two dogs.
Dr. Tori Ludlow
Veterinarian, BHSc BSc DVM
Tori chose this industry as every day is different and there are so many opportunities to learn and improve skills.
Tori’s special interest is surgery in both small and large animals.
In Tori’s spare time you’ll find her outdoors being active in nature.
Dr. Amelia Cannadine
Veterinarian, BVB DVM
Amelia has wanted to be a vet since the first time she was asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Initially this was because of her love for all animals and although this is still relevant to Amelia now, there is a lot more to it.
Amelia’s special interests are mixed practice, including soft tissue surgery in small and large animals, new puppy and kitten consultations and internal medicine.
Outside of work you’ll find Amelia going for a swim, playing social netball with friends, reading a book and catching up with family.
Dr. Tomm Weisbrodt
Veterinarian, BSc DVM
Dr Tomm Weisbrodt joined the WAVS team after five years at Brighton Veterinary Hospital. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Adelaide in 2019 and has a strong interest in surgery, particularly complex and reconstructive soft tissue procedures. Dr Tomm is also expanding his expertise in orthopaedic surgery, including TPLO procedures, supported by ongoing professional development. He completed a two-year surgical CPD program through Improve International in 2023, covering both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
Known for his approachable manner, Dr Tomm is skilled at clearly explaining procedures and ensuring clients feel informed and supported. He is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to every patient.
Outside of work, Dr Tomm enjoys the outdoors and cooking, with a particular interest in homebrewing. He lives with his wife, young son, and a lively collection of pets, including cats, a bearded dragon, and backyard chickens.

Kelly
Veterinary Nurse
Kelly chose this industry as she loves animals and want to help them.
Kelly’s special interests is behaviour and feline medicine and surgery.
In Kelly’s spare time she enjoys reading and showing her oriental cats. She also has a pet pigeon called Polly and a few others in the menagerie.
Amanda
Lead Veterinary Receptionist
Amanda chose to work in the veterinary industry because she is passionate about animals.
Amanda’s special interests are working in front of house, providing knowledge and support to the broader community on a daily basis, ensuring pets get the best care.
Outside of work you’ll find Amanda spending time with her family or riding her horses.
Rebecca H
Veterinary Nurse, Cert IV
Rebecca joined the WAVS team at the beginning of 2022 whilst she was completing her Cert IV in Veterinary nursing.
Rebecca has taken a strong interest in the face-to-face side of nursing, helping clients over the phone and in person.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her two boisterous dogs and 4 rescued cats
Danni
Veterinary Nurse, Cert IV
From a young age Danni would rescue frogs from the pool and return them to the garden with her Nana. Her desire to work with animals led her to become a zookeeper and then to vet nursing.
Danni has a special interest in anaesthesia and surgical nursing and loves all things gruesome and gooey.
Outside of work you’ll find Danni camping, snorkeling and baking.
Emily
Veterinary Nurse,
Emily chose this career because she wasn’t enjoying her job working in food retail. Emily has always loved animals, so decided to study Veterinary Nursing.
Emily’s special interests include dental procedures, wildlife and caring for neonatal kittens!
In Emily’s spare time you’ll find her gardening, enjoying a BBQ and playing computer games.
Gabby
Veterinary Nurse, Cert IV
Gabby chose this industry to work with like-minded people who have a love for animals. She also loves that it is busy and there are a range of different areas in the workplace that change on a daily basis.
Gabby enjoys the variety of different areas in nursing with a special interest in surgical nursing and reception and animal behaviour.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, nature walks, snorkelling, surfing, sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking.
Rhonda
Veterinary Nurse
Rhonda has been a dedicated veterinary nurse for more than 20 years. She can’t remember ever wanting to do anything else! Originally planning to become a veterinarian, Rhonda discovered during school work experience that her true passion lay in the nursing side of animal care — and she’s never looked back.
With a special interest in surgery, anaesthesia, and critical care, Rhonda spent ten years working as an anaesthesia nurse in a specialist centre. She holds additional qualifications and advanced training in both surgery and anaesthesia. Rhonda is also deeply committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of veterinary nurses, regularly lecturing at veterinary conferences and workshops across the country.
Outside of work, Rhonda proudly embraces her “geeky nerd” side — she loves playing video games, studying, and creating her next teaching project.
Angelique
Veterinary Receptionist
Angelique chose to work in this industry as it is dynamic with room for growth, continued education and self development with animal welfare at the forefront on her mind.
Angelique’s special interest is being a voice for animals and hopefully soon helping with shelter/rescue inititives.
Outside of work Angelique enjoys art, painting, baking cakes, experimenting with interesting flavors, travelling, meditating and running.
Ruby
Veterinarian, BSc DVM
Ruby has a strong interest in companion animal medicine. She is passionate about providing practical, compassionate care and supporting the health and wellbeing of her patients at every stage of life.
Outside of work, Ruby enjoys staying active with her dogs, whether that’s running along the beach or exploring local hiking trails. She also enjoys unwinding with friends and family, often around a fire with a glass of red wine.
Megan Hall
Veterinary Receptionist
Megan has always loved animals, and her passion for helping them led her into wildlife rescue and companion animal nursing. She finds deep fulfillment not only in caring for animals, but also in supporting the families who love them—celebrating joyful milestones and providing comfort during difficult times.
She is particularly passionate about building strong bonds with clients and their pets, offering compassionate and reliable care for everyone involved.
Outside of work, she proudly embraces her inner nerd, enjoying films such as Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. She also enjoys collecting LEGO—especially Star Wars sets—and listening to music ranging from Hans Zimmer to Bad Omens.
Zara
Veterinary Nurse, Cert IV
Zara chose this industry because of her love for helping animals and a strong interest in helping owners understand their dogs behaviour and how to improve their pets lives!
Zara’s special interest is anxiety in dogs, as well as native wildlife (such as possums!), and working with rabbits.

Veterinary Nurse Puppy Preschool Trainer
Magda has always had a massive interest and love for animals epeccially welfare and their behaviour.
With a keen interest in animal behaviour Magda is a great asset in our Puppy Preschool program. Magda loves to know why and how things work so is particularly interested in Biology.
Outside of work Magda and her partner are working hard to make their property as self sufficient as they can using regenerative and permaculture farming techniques.
Tania
Veterinary Nurse
Tania was always destined to be involved with animals when at a young age she used to push her rabbit around in a pram! She recently joined our team after moving from Hobart where she began veterinary nursing seeking a career change from university administration.
She has worked in many areas including a specialist cat clinic, and a dedicated wildlife hospital but has a soft spot for senior canines. Her special interests include anaesthesia and pathology.
Outside of work she enjoys reading historical fiction and riding her pushbike long distances on remote gravel roads
Grace
Kennel Hand
Grace has a love for animals, especially baby animals! Getting to work at the same practice with her mum Dr Clare, makes it even better. Grace has 2 dogs, 3 cats, a pet sheep, chickens and fish at home that she cares for.
Grace is in high school and enjoy’s competing in triathlons, playing soccer and is a valued volunteer surf lifesaver.
